Stephanie Lee, 67, of Eldora, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December, 6, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Stephanie Jo Tomlinson was born on January 4, 1950, in Wagner, South Dakota; she was the daughter of George Clifford Tomlinson Jr and Esther Isabelle (VanderVoort) Tomlinson. She attended school and graduated from Des Moines Tech with the class of 1968. On December 28, 1968, Stephanie was united in marriage to Wendell Ellis Lee in Des Moines, Iowa. They lived a short time in Galesburg, Illinois and in 1969 they moved to Des Moines, in 1976 to Melbourne, Iowa, in 1991 to Marshalltown and 2001 to Eldora. Steph had a career in the Tax and Financial Service Business. She was a member of the Iowa Llama Association and was involved in the Little Rock Ministries. She loved to spend time with her pride and joy, her family and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Wendell of Eldora; mother, Esther Fees of Altoona; children, Wendy Jeske of New Providence, Lisa (John) Opperman of Hawkeye, and Jennifer (David) Mull of Eldora; son in laws, Mike Jeske of Eldora and Monty Spangler of Eldora; her angels, (grandchildren): Andrew Jeske, Hannah Bishop, Dannielle Spangler, Logan Jeske, Marilyn Spangler, Mason Jeske, Devin Mull, Seth Jeske, Gemma Mull, and Grace Mull; great-grandchildren: Payden Bishop, Weston Jones and Bennett Jeske; and siblings: Sandra (Dale) Valenti of Emporia, Kansas, Sharon (Kevin) Link of Bondurant, Iowa, and Charlotte “Sue” (Ric) Haynes of Cape Canaveral, Florida. In death Steph rejoins her son, Jeffrey Lee; father George Tomlinson Jr.; brothers, Thomas Tomlinson and George Tomlinson III; stepfather, Ralph Fees; grandparents, Meda and William VanderVoort and George and Flossie Tomlinson; and in-laws, William and Opal Lee.
