Stevan Deahl

Stevan E. Deahl, age 56 of Waterloo, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2026, while on a trip in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Stevan Edward Deahl was born on April 15, 1970 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1988. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1988 to 1994.

Steve worked for the Canadian Northern Railroad for nearly 10 years. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting watches and firearms, and tinkering with electronics. Steve had a whole wall of TVs to keep himself entertained at home watching a variety of things, including countless YouTube videos. Steve was known for his kind heart and a large Mountain Dew in hand.

In death, Steve is reunited in death with his grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carol Deahl of Marshalltown; and his siblings and their families: Debbra K. Kongi and Timothy E. (Stefanie) Deahl.

Per Steve and his family’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or other organization supporting veterans.
