Steve Davis 58, of LeGrand, Iowa, formerly of Marshalltown , Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at home in LeGrand, Iowa. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Military Honors will be presented by Harry C. Harter Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #839 and American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post # 46. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Stephen Ernest Davis was born on August 4, 1955, in Iowa City Iowa; he was the son of Ernest and Ruth(Conner) Davis Jr. Steve attended School in the LFD Community School District and went on to serve our Country Honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 until 1975 serving in Vietnam. On June 6, 1986, Steve was united in marriage to Vicki Beaderstadt in Marshalltown, Iowa where they resided until they moved to LeGrand, Iowa, three years ago. Steve worked at Fisher for a few years and then worked and retired from Midwest Manufacturing as a Machinist for 21 years. He was a member of the local UAW and VFW. Steve loved to fish, hunt, go camping and spend time with his sons and grandsons and enjoyed old cars and going to river to watch eagles. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Vicki of LeGrand, Iowa, Sons: David Beaderstadt of Waterloo, Iowa Toby( Sarah Harmson) of Garwin, Iowa and Jeremy ( Jindi) Beaderstadt of Garwin. Grandchildren; Grant, Ezra, Blake, Jacob, DJ, Kaylee, Chance, Bailey and Hunter, Brothers, Richard(Ruth) Davis of Melbourne, Iowa, Tom Davis of Missouri, Nancy Meyers Davis of Marshalltown, Iowa, nieces and nephews: Kelsey,Jake,Terry and Shawn Davis. In death he rejoins his parents, Ernest and Ruth, son Jason Beaderstadt(2011), and grandson Devin Urban and his 4 legged friends, Amber Lyn, Sadi Jo and Brandi Sue
