Steven L. Andrews

Steven L. Andrews, 61, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formally of Melbourne, Iowa, passed away early Monday morning at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare under the care of Hospice with his loving family by his side. A private memorial service for Steven will be held at a later date. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where his family will be present to greet friends. Andrews was born on January 27, 1953, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Pete and Monie (Meyer) Andrews. He was raised and educated in the West Marshall school district, graduating from West Marshall High School in 1971. Steven was united in marriage to the love of his life Jane Kinkade on May 7, 1999, in Marshalltown, Iowa. Steven had two children: Chad and Nick Andrews. Growing up Steven helped out farming on the family farm in Melbourne, Iowa before taking a job with Fisher Controls. Steven worked at Fishers for 43 years before retiring on February 1st. Steven had a passion for bicycling, riding the trails, golfing, camping, riding in his jeep, riding Harleys, spending time with family and friends, his granddaughters and his cat Jaycee. Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Jane Andrews; children: Chad (Tarah) Andrews and Nick Andrews; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kaylie and Ellie Jo Andrews; one sister: Connie Mueller; step-father: Don Jaeger; step- brother: Bill Jaeger and step- sister: Deb Netolicky. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gary Andrews and one niece Kelli Andrews.
