Steven Burdett Dobson, 72, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home and under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home. Services ran by the family will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Center Street Baptist Church. Steven Dobson was born on September 24, 1943 in Marshalltown to Sterling and Arlene Lackey Dobson. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1962. On December 30, 1999, Steven was united in marriage to Connie Sue Dobson (Bizios) in Marshalltown. He was retired as an insurance adjuster. Steven also had sold many different health products over the years. He enjoyed playing cards, watching TV, yard work, panning for gold, exploring mountains in Arizona, in his younger years was an avid horseman known as Cowboy Steve and was also known for the jokes and stories that he would tell. In his younger days, Steven loved to dance and was even able to dance with the famous Jean Seberg. Steven was loved by everyone who met him because of his dynamic and charismatic personality. His motto for life was the same as Sinatras song I did it my way. Steven is survived by his wife of almost 17 years; Connie. Children: Anthony Dobson of Cedar Rapids, Nicole Dobson of Cedar Rapids, Tina Bizios of Des Moines, Tiffany Bizios of Marshalltown, Traci Bizios of Des Moines and Jonathan Bizios of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Zachariah Sterling Dobson and Arianthi Bizios. He is also survived by his sister Ilene Barger of Melbourne, brother Randy Dobson and many other friends and family members. Steven is preceded in death by his parents Sterling and Arlene and brothers Alan and Bill.
