Steven A. McGrane, 65, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home.Cremation rites have been accorded and there are currently no services scheduled. Steven McGrane was born on July 21, 1955 in Iowa City to Leo and Almake Rice McGrane. Steve served his country in the United States Navy. He had previously worked as a metal cutter at Bell Salvage in Ames. Steve was considered a “jack of all trades, but a master of none” He enjoyed walking, fishing and traveling. Steve is survived by his siblings: Margarett (Allen) Tiger, Dixie (Gail) Venenga, Vicki (Steve) Ralston, James (Sharon) McGrane, Ricky Lee McGrane and John McGrane as well as many nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merton McGrane; sister, Marion McGrane and his nephew Shane McGrane.
