Steven "Steve" Priske

Steven Priske, 60, of Marshalltown, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, December 8th, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 13th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. If anyone would like to bring a flower of their choice to place in the casket they may do so. Born Steven Eugene Priske on June 8th, 1957, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Wilkenson) Priske. Steve graduated from the Marshalltown High School with the class of 1975. The next year on September 18th, 1976, he married the love of his life, Janet Bratland, at the Elim Lutheran Church. They made their home in Marshalltown all of their married lives. Steve was the owner and operator of Rumour’s Bar in Marshalltown. A good day for Steve would be fishing and duck hunting and time at the racetrack. It would be a great day if he could do all that with his grandkids. Left to cherish his memory is Janet, his loving wife of 41 years, his sons- Nathan and Jason Priske and grandchildren Riley, Karissa, Caiden and Madilyn. Also surviving is his mother, Elizabeth, as well as many friends and other family members. In death, he rejoined his dad, Paul.
