Stewart "Stu" Warren, 58, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2015, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center with his loving family by his side. Funeral services for Stu will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Daniel officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Garwin Union Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where his family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Stu and his family. Stewart Warren was born on July 26, 1956, in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of Joseph Mac Warren and Clydine (Hinson) Parlette. He obtained his High School degree from the United States Marine Corp in the Philippines. Stu honorably served his Country joining the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. On July 14, 1984, Stu was united in marriage to the love of his life Marie Walsh, at the Stewart United Methodist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Stu was a hardworking man, taking many different professional roles throughout his life, most recently working for the Valhalla Restaurant in Story City. He was a member of the American Legion in Garwin and Story City, Sons of Legion in Story City, past Scout Master in Story City and Garwin as well as Emery Martial Arts. Stu had a passion for Martial Arts, self-defense, collecting weapons, classical rock music, comedy movies, reading, and especially his family. Left to cherish Stus memory is his wife: Marie Warren; children: Amanda Warren, Jospeh Warren, Brandi (Adam) Sanchez; grandchildren: Aaliyah Sanchez, Miayla Sanchez, Aiden Sullivan, Conner Sullivan; mother: Clydine Hinson Parlette; one niece: Jill Deike; two nephews: Chuck Anderson and Cody Tagree; uncles and aunts: Danny Hinson, Mary (Larry) Tompliat, Marcia Duncan, Claudine (George) Hare and Randy (Jenee) Hinson; siblings: Carolyn Anderson, Steve Warren, Rodger Warren. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Warren; one brother: Kyle Bazzano; grandparents: Olga (Tilman) Hinson and Ruffus (Irine) Warren; two uncles and one aunt.
