Stuart Thomas Nevins, 72, of Marshalltown joined his Heavenly Father on August 27, 2026.

Stuart Thomas Nevins was born on October 10, 1953 in Hannibal, Missouri. He was the son of Thomas and Maude Alice (Emmons) Nevins. Stu had been a farmer, worked in insurance at American Family Insurance and had been a truck driver with Schneider National. Stu was united in marriage to the love of his life: Dietta Giannetto on April 15, 2000 at Central Christian Church in Marshalltown. Stu was a member of Central Christian Church, becoming a Deacon and Treasurer, on the church committee; he was also a member of the bell choir and Gatherers Club. Stu enjoyed working in the yard and wood working. Stu embodied the spirit of a true patriot in every sense of the word. He possessed a love for the United States of America, dedicating himself to its principles and standing as a supporter of President Trump. Above all else, Stu loved and took care of his family.

Stu is survived by his wife of twenty-six years: Dietta; children: Kara and Steve Swaim; grandchildren: Shelby Weuve and Nathan (Kaitlyn) Swaim; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Sawyer and Elliott Weuve. Stu will also be missed by his dog and sidekick: Cookie.

Stu is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Maude and his aunt: Betty Emmons.
