Stuart Higley Sawdey was born December 19, 1959, in Mentor, Ohio, the son of Douglas and Emma (Young) Sawdey. Stuart was educated in Mentor, Ohio with the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy 103rd basic. He was married to Marcia Sturtz in 1991, in Tama, Iowa. Later they became divorced. He was previously employed with the city of Tama police, Gilman police, and Alliant Energy. Stuart had a passion for any type of Clint Eastwood movies, the Cleveland Indians and Nascar. Stuart is survived by his son; Bryant (Paige) Sawdey; daughter; Micaela Sawdey; one step-son; Dan Quigley; Siblings; Matt Sawdey, Garth Sawdey, Gretchen Wheeler, Tena Sawdey, Kristin Llewelyn, Eric Sawdey, Margit Sawdey and Nile Sawdey He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother; Nile Sawdey.
