Sue Ann Mcginnis Harris

Sue Ann McGinnis Harris, 52, of Garwin, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Her death came peacefully at 5:00 p.m. with her loving family at her side. Private family memorial services and a celebration of her life will be held. She will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Born Sue Ann McGinnis on November 5, 1957, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Leroy and Ruth (Kimberley) McGinnis. She graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1976. On February 13, 1988, she was united in marriage to Jeff Harris. They couple later divorced. To their union, two beautiful children were born- Matthew and Michael. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Matthew and Michael both of Marshalltown, mother Ruth of Marshalltown, sisters Nancy McGinnis of Moline, IL and Renee (J.J.)Leavy of San Diego, four nephews and two nieces: Kyle Leavy, Ann Marie Leavy, Kevin Leavy, Alexander Menage, Henry Peiffer, and Olivia Menage as well as several friends. In death she rejoined her father and grandparents.
