Susan A. Weidler, 41, of Ames, formerly of Marshalltown and Ferguson, died Saturday, March 29th, at her home in Ames. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Cremation rites will follow the services. Friends may call at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A memorial fund is being established for the benefit of her son, Kenny. Susan Ann (Susie) Simatovich graced the lives of Andrew and Karen (Drew) Simatovich on December 8th, 1966, in Marshalltown, Iowa and departed this life at her home in Ames, Iowa, on March 29th, 2008. She was joined at home by two sisters, Kim and Jami. Susie graduated from the LDF High Schools Class of 1985 and on Valentines Day (February 14th) of 1995, with a group sponsored by KGGO Radio in Des Moines, was united in marriage to Scott Weidler. A precious son, Kenneth Scott Kenny graced their home on October 19th, 2001. She was employed at the American Legion, Pizza Hut, Cub Foods, and Hickory Park and was a stay-at-home mom. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott, son Kenneth Scott both at home, her mother Karen Simatovich of Ferguson, father Andrew Simatovich and Sheryl Gwinn of Ferguson, sister Kim (David) Pepe of Marshalltown, Jami Simatovich and Jason Drew of Gladbrook, Iowa, nieces: Ariel Pepe, Emilee Pepe, Jaci Drew, Lily Drew and Jessua Dalton, nephews: Dalton Roberts, Joey Pepe, Garrett Drew, Charles Doty, Robert Dalton and Trevar Weidler, aunts and uncles: Clarence and Iona Simatovich of Newton, Ron and Linda Simatovich of Ferguson, Vicki and Greg Palmer of Ft. Pierce, FL., and Mick and Penny Drew of Newton, sisters-in-law: Marcia Doty, Cheryl Dalton and in-laws Darrel and Denise Weidler as well as numerous friends and cousins. In her heavenly home she has joined grandparents Andrew and Hazel Simatovich, Charles and Nadine Drew, uncle Bob Drew, nephew Tyson Drew, mother-in-law Virginia Weidler and brother-in-law, Maynard Doty.
