Susana Ochoa-Zepeda, 34, of Marshalltown passed away after a tragic car accident on Friday, August 31, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at St Marys Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be on Friday September 7, 2012 from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Susana Ochoa-Zepeda was born on May 14, 1978 in Petatan, Michoacn, Mexico; she was the daughter of Raul Ochoa and Carmela Zepeda. She attended School in the area of her birth. On December, 1994 Susana was united in marriage to Rafael Avalos-Castellanos in Petatan, Michoacn, Mexico. Susana and Rafael had lived in Marshalltown for the past 5 years. She had been employed at Swift Greenhouse. Susana loved to be with her children, loved family gatherings and she and Rafael enjoyed music and dancing. Susana will be remembered for her love of family, fun personality, her smile and kindness for always helping others in need. Left to cherish Susana is her husband of 18 years, Rafael, and her children Rafael(17), Daniela (14) Melissa(11) and Julianna (1) all of Marshalltown, and her siblings; Karina, Mariela, Javier all of California, and Marcos, Luis, Noelia,, Cecilia and Joana all of Mexico, and many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins. Susana was preceded in death by her Grandmothers; Lola and Mercedes and grandfather, Jose Maria.
