Tammy was the loving mother to her only and favorite daughter, Jill Weitzell. She continued calling Marshalltown home. She launched her career working for MICA for a total of twelve years before changing career direction to begin working for O Riley Auto Parts in Marshalltown for a few years before she was forced to retire due to her health.
Those who knew Tammy would say that she was strong and independent. She was crafty leaning into her creative side working on painting and airbrushing along with other projects. She was always proud of her yard making sure that things were always well maintained and was known for her plants. She loved her plants so much that she had a greenhouse attached to her house. In her younger years, she enjoyed showing horses.
Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her daughter, Jill Weitzell of Mason City; her five grandchildren, Efrain, Antonio “Tony”, Selena, Cortez and Damian; four siblings, Brad (Lori) Shultz, Mindy (Douglas) Weitzell, Dawn (Kevin) Fullerton and Rick (Jennie) Weitzell along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Richard and Charlotte Weitzell and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
In her eternal rest, Tammy rejoins her loved ones after a courageous five year battle of stage four cancer.
