Tammy Mattingly, age 46, entered into eternal peace on April 7, 2009, and joined her mother Linda who preceded her to heaven in 1997. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11th at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved friend and companion of 23 years, David Moore, his children: Nichole, James, and Dustin, his grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordon, Jaquelyn, Dakota, and Damien, father E. Eldon Hillbilly Mattingly, sister Lois Zack Zakerolhosseini, her children: Lindsey, Brianna, Jonny, Kelly Laughlin, brother Brian, his children: Yolanda, Ariel, Tabitha, Cora, Ruth Ann, brother Dusty, foster brother and sister Kevin and Brenda LaPour, maternal grandmother Ruth Spencer, maternal uncle, aunts and several cousins. Also surviving are Davids parents Don and Bev Risius, sisters: Diane, Debbie, Darla, Dixie, Dottie and their children. Tammy graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1982, became a Certified Nurses Aide, a trained welder, and worked along side David on several construction jobs, doing demolition, roofing, siding and drywalling, until ill health forced her to stop. Tammy still enjoyed visiting the sites and giving her advice and opinions regarding the job. Tammy loved being outdoors, and enjoyed going fishing and camping with her family and friends. Tammy loved and treasured her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Tammy was very supportive of her nieces and nephews many activities, and went to as many of their events as her health allowed. Tammy was an avid Hawkeye fan, creating a friendly family rivalry with her dad and sister the Cyclone fans. Tammy loved animals, especially her cats Tig and Marvin, who she spoiled rotten. Tammy was a known storyteller and practical jokester, she was well known for having a joke for all occasions. Tammy loved to laugh, tease and have fun. Tammy was a loving, giving person, who even in death continues her sharing nature. Tammy generously donated to the organ donor program so that others may continue to enjoy life and see the beauty in it that Tammy did. Tammy leaves us with many beautiful, loving memories and stories, to hold us, and keep us strong until we are all reunited again. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother Linda, maternal grandfather Floyd Spencer, paternal grandparents Nimon T. and Cora Mattingly.
