Tana Johnson

Tana Johnson (Waldo) passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 surrounded by her family at Israel Family Hospice House. Tana was born July 1, 1952. She was married to the love of her life Steve. Tana had one daughter Shannon Hartman.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 21 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A family-led celebration of life will be held following the service at the LeGrand Area Community Center, 206 Vine Street LeGrand, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family for later designation. Flowers although would be appreciated if chosen. Tana Johnson was born July 1, 1952 to parents Don Johnson and Lavearle Johnson in Marshalltown, Iowa. Tana had two sisters, Billie and Edna. Tana graduated from Marshalltown High School and later attended Marshalltown Community College. Tana worked at CIRSI for 18 years and later went on to work for the Iowa Veterans Home for 26 years. Tana loved to cruise, have a margarita here and there and also loved going to the casino occasionally with her friends. Most of all, she loved her grandkids and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered by friends for her jokes, she could make anyone laugh. She was also known for her kindness and willingness to help anyone.

Tana is survived by her daughter Shannon Hartman and son-in-law Ryan Hartman; grandsons: Baylee Waldo and his wife, Baylee (Mommer) Waldo, Braydn Carroll and Colton Carroll; great grandkids: Mylee Waldo, Benson Waldo, Molle Waldo and Maren Waldo.

She will forever be missed and remembered by many.
