Tara Lents

Tara Lents, 44, of Marshalltown, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center, in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from 5:00 8:00 p.m., at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Tara and her family. Tara was born in Marshalltown on January 6, 1969, the daughter of Harry Gray and Wava Jean Graham Gray. She graduated from LDF High School in 1987, and received her Bachelors Degree from Iowa State University in 1992. Tara married Thad Lents on January 11, 1992 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. Tara was a homemaker, and had previously worked for Hy-Vee, Farm Bureau Insurance, and Yabe Internet Auctions. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Elmwood Country Club. She enjoyed scrapbooking, golf, and various sports. Tara is survived by her husband, Thad Lents; her children, Drayton Lents, and Kaelin Lents; her father, Harry Gray, and stepmother, Betty Gray; siblings, Eric (Sue) Gray, and Robin (Andy Bujanda) Gray. Tara was preceded in death by her mother, Wava Jean Graham Gray, and her grandparents.
