Tayquan M Million, age 21, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was born on October 26, 2004, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, arriving as a healthy, chunky baby weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
Tayquan was known for his sweet, easygoing nature. He was shy at times, yet outspoken when it mattered most—always caring, helpful, and full of quiet strength. He was truly beautiful, both inside and out.
He graduated from MLA in 2024, earning his high school diploma. Recently, Tayquan expressed an interest for nursing and had taken the first steps toward a career in healthcare by enrolling in CNA classes. He was looking forward to building a future where he could care for others.
Tayquan enjoyed spending time on his computer, surfing the internet and playing games with his online friends. He also found deep comfort and companionship in his beloved dog, Bailey, whom he loved dearly.
He shared a special and unbreakable bond with his grandmother and grandfather, who held a deeply cherished place in his heart.
Tayquan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Janice Thomas, and his uncle, Blake Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Tahchelle Thomas; his grandmother, Rochelle Thomas; his grandfather, Carl Porter; his uncles, Robert Thomas and RJ Thomas; his brothers, Xayvion Thomas, Jayvohn, Jamari Hanyes, and Jamir Thomas; and his cousins, Elle Thomas, Izek Thomas, and Blake Thomas, along with many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Tayquan will be remembered for his intelligence, his gentle spirit, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
