Terry Boyd

Terry L. Boyd, 53, passed away at his home on June 15, 2016. Terry was born September 27, 1962 to Charles L. and Barbara (Glisan) Boyd. When he was a year old, he was lovingly adopted by his grandparents, Charles H. and A. Lucille (Rust) Boyd. Terry grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa and graduated from high school in 1983. He was later employed at Handy Industries as a welder/fabricator for 21 years before the business closed. After that, he worked at Almaco in Nevada, Iowa for 3 years. Terry took great pride in the products that he helped to create. On April 25, 2009, Terry married the love of his life, Melaina A. Bennett. Together, they enjoyed going to antique stores, attending the Good Guys car show and the Iowa State Fair each year and traveling to Missouri. Terry also had an appreciation for antique guns and Civil War collectibles and loved to watch western movies. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melaina, his father, Charley, two sisters, Karen Boyd and Kimberly Boyd, nephews Jeff Bruns, Paul (Michelle) Greene, and Cameron White (Lisa Davis), nieces Jeanette Jensen and Genele Norton, a sister-in-law, Cherrie VanAcker (Jim and Lexi), two children from a previous marriage and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his biological parents,Vernie and Barb, his mother, Lucille, two sisters, Darlene Baer and Charlene Boyd, a half-sister, Melody, and a half-brother, Charles. A celebration of Terrys life will be held at a later date yet to be determined.
