Terry Clapp

Terry Clapp, 69, of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Terry Lee Cowell was born on February 20, 1944, in Ohio; she was the daughter of Charles and Carrie (Bradley)Cowell. She attended school in various places throughout the United States as her family moved. In 1960, Terry was united in marriage to Felix Clapp in Missouri. She resided in Eldora most of her adult life. Terry worked in the factory at Quality Product in Eldora and always enjoyed selling Avon products. She enjoyed white water rafting, camping and canoeing; really, Terry thrived on any activity around water. Hands down, her family was her favorite past time and most loved. Left to cherish Terrys memory are her children: Rose Kalthoff of New Providence, Iowa; Teresa Lewis of Pasadena, Texas; Alan (Sue) Clapp of Eldora, Iowa; and Randy (Sharri) Clapp of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. In death, Terry rejoins her mom and dad, Charles and Carrie; and a great-grandson, Felix Anthony Clapp.
