Terry Forbes

The fun-loving life of Terry Forbes came to a close on the afternoon of Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Unity Point Hospital in Marshalltown. Terry, also known as Baby Huey or Forby, was 52 years, one month and ten days of age, and loved by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Evangelical Free Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Terry Ray Forbes came into this world on July 17th, 1965, in Marshalltown, Iowa he was the son of Ronnie Loewen and Zaidee (Jones) Loewen, they later divorced and Zaidee married Robert Forbes who adopted Terry at the age of 7. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1984. Soon after graduation, he was united in marriage to Shelly Baker, who passed away at a young age in an accident. Later, he married Kimberly Tuttle. Even though their paths parted by divorce, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter- Taylor. On September 22, 2001, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA, he married the love of his life, April Untiedt, and together they were blessed with a precious daughter-Jordyn. They made their home in Marshalltown where he was employed at JBS, most recently marking 25 years of faithful service to them. Terry came into the world, and unfortunately passed from it as well, in his favorite season- summer. Nothing was better than BBQs with family and friends, riding crotch rockets and driving classic cars and hot rods. He also loved to bowl and be outdoors. Left to cherish his memory are April, his loving wife of 16 years, daughters- Taylor Forbes of Grimes and Jordyn Rayna Forbes at home; his parents Robert and Zaidee, grandpuppies- Sweetie Peety Forbes and Buddy Boy Forbes, the Untiedt family and many, many friends. Recently, he was reunited with his birth father, Ronnie Loewen, and thus became survived by siblings- Rex (Lisa) Loewen in Kansas, Vinnie (Cara) Loewen of Hubbard, Troy (Jessica) Loewen of Iowa Falls and Brandy (Ralph) Dieck in Colorado. In death, Terry was reunited with his grandparents- Edward and Gertrude Jones and Lowell and Mildred Forbes, aunt Joyce Beal, uncle Bill Forbes and brother Adam Loewen.
