Terry Jay Wagner

Terry J. Wagner, age 70, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the privacy of his home.

Per his wishes and his family, cremation rites will be accorded. No formal services have been scheduled at this time. Memorials in Terry’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Terry Jay Wagner was born on August 28, 1954, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Walter and Margret Wagner. Terry attended Marshalltown High School and graduated with the class of 1973. After graduation he soon joined the work force starting as a dishwasher for the Best Western Regency. He later worked for the Mid Iowa Workshops for a little over 15 years. Terry also worked for a short period of time at the JBS Cafeteria. In his free time, he enjoyed writing books, poetry, watching classic movies and westerns. Terry was a Christian that spend a lot of his time at the Salvation Army. Many may remember him riding his tricycle all around town.

He is survived by his brother Stacy Ayers, his sister-in-law Jennifer Ayers, his cousin Lida Wagner of Northern Iowa, and many friends that will cherish all the good times.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Margret and his grandparents.
