Thomas Lehman, 68, of Union, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Thomas and his family. Phone 641-844-1234. Thomas Warren Lehman was born on January 18, 1946, at Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Walter and Hattie (Wiese) Lehman. Tom attended school in the Beaman/Conrad School District graduating with the class of 1964, and then attended MCC for a year. In 1965, Tom and Martha (Mc Williams) were united in marriage in Michigan. they later divorced. He lived and farmed in the Union area and was also a 48 year employee at Fisher Controls and had just retired in 2013. Tom was a member of the Liscomb Church of Christ and the Local UAW. Tom loved to go to farm sales and the Iowa State Fair. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his life, and he always enjoyed the farm and helping his son, Tim, farm. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Lonnie Lehman of Marshalltown, Tim (Aimee) Lehman of Union, Iowa, Connie (Gary) Fifer, Jr. of Camp Point, Illinois, and Alyssa (Maximillian) Halladay of Conrad, Iowa. Grandchildren: Jacob Lehman, Abbie (Quinten) Charlier, Ellie Lehman, Noah Lehman, Mallory Fifer, Marleigh Fifer, Addyson and Damian and (one on the way) Bentley Halladay; great-grandchildren, Caden and Levi; brother, Jerry Lehman of Liscomb; and nephew, Patrick (Jacey) Lehman of Conrad, and their children. In death, Tom rejoins his parents, Walter and Hattie, and sister-in-law, Diana Lehman.
