Thomas Clyde Neave

Thomas Clyde Neave, 41, of Marshalltown, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home. Memorial services for Thomas will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will start an hour prior, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please dress casual and in your favorite racing attire. Thomas Neave was born on November 18, 1980 in Marshalltown to Manuel and Brenda Thompson Neave. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1999. Thomas had previously worked at Kwik Star on Center Street in Marshalltown. He enjoyed going to the races in town, camping, fishing, watching movies (especially Titanic) and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and San Francisco 49ers fan. Thomas was a sweet soul and would put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved his family and was especially proud of being a step dad. He will be missed by many. Thomas is survived by his siblings: Betty (Joe) Carty and Chris (Brad Baguhn) Gunderson; father, Manuel Neave; cousin, Adam Rickett; fiancée, Stephanie Snider-Neave; children: Alyssa (Logan Anderson) Coop and Eleanor Sparrow; as well as “Mickey” the chihuahua. Thomas is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Neave; sister, Sonia Neave; son, Ricky Snider; grandparents, Thomas and Jean Thompson and aunts and uncles, Connie and Raymond Rickett, Marilyn Bryant and Gary Dannen.
