Tim Skinner, 54, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, September 6th. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the St. Josephs Cemetery at Rhodes. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday morning. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Born Timothy Lyle Skinner, on January 4th, 1954, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Lyle and Grace (Malloy) Skinner. He received his education in the Marshalltown Schools and was currently employed at Ace Precision Casting. He had previously worked for Dicks Starter and Generator.Tim was raised in the Catholic Faith, attended St. Marys Parish and their school, was a member of the UAW Local #893, ABATE and had served on the Melbourne Volunteer Fire Department. Many would remember Tim for his love of fishing, motorcycles, and his family, especially getting together for family dinners. He will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish his memory are his aunts: Sue Worley of Marshalltown, Liz Malloy of Rhodes, and Norma Skinner of Mitchellville, uncle Stanley Randall of Melbourne, several cousins including Joe Worley who was also his best friend and many other friends and co-workers. In death, Tim has rejoined his parents Lyle and Grace, and several dear uncles, aunts and cousins.
