Tim Vaughn

Tim Allen Vaughn, 56, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Central Iowa Health Care in Marshalltown. Funeral services for Tim will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family for designation at a later date. Tim Vaughn was born on September 9, 1960 in Marshalltown to Johnnie and Doris Vaughn. He graduated from Colo High School in 1979. On September 15, 1979, Tim was united in marriage to Becky Sears in Union. He had worked at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center (now Central Iowa Health Care) as an electrician and in maintenance until he retired in 2014. Tim enjoyed serving as an Elder at New Hope Christian Church. He enjoyed working on his model train sets, woodworking, remodeling and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Tim is survived by his wife of 37 years; Becky. Children: Ginna (Nic) Randall and Lexi (Phil) Metz. Grandchildren: Myles, Kade, Eli and Henry. Siblings: Don (Linda) Vaughn, Janell Runner, Ronda Vaughn, Randy (Cindy) Vaughn, Rick Vaughn, Kevin (Traci) Vaughn, Doug (Lisa) Vaughn, Dennis (Chris) Vaughn, Dan (Jeanine) Vaughn and Joanie (Bob) Jamison. Tim is preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Doris and brother Rod Vaughn.
