Tracy Joseph Bihm

Tracy J. Bihm, age 86, of Laurel, Iowa formerly of Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown.

Per Tracy and his family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no formal services have been scheduled at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation. Tracy Joseph Bihm was born on July 2, 1940, in Port Barre, Louisiana, to his parents, Malton and Edna Bihm. With limited vision from a young age, Tracy attended the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired (L.S.V.I.) in Baton Rouge. He spent nearly all his life in Louisiana before moving to Laurel, Iowa, three years ago to be closer to his son. Tracy shared his life with his former wife and, in later years, with his significant other, cherishing each relationship until their passing. In his free time, he loved making leather wallets and belts. Tracy had a gentle love for animals, a fondness for French music, and spoke French fluently. He is lovingly survived by his two children: Robbie (Amanda Osburn) Bihm of Laurel, Iowa, and Bobbie Joe Bihm of Lafayette, Louisiana. His family continues through his three grandchildren—Xavier, Leese, and Chiassin Tate—and his two great‑grandchildren, with two more on the way. He is also survived by his daughter‑in‑law, Tara Bihm.

Tracy is preceded in death by his parents, Malton and Edna, his brother David Bihm, his former spouse, and his longtime companion Radella Trahan.
