Travis David VanDeWalle, 25, of Marshalltown passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 1, 2016. Funeral services for Travis will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Public visitation will be on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Family requests casual dress for services. Memorials may be directed to the family. Travis VanDeWalle was born on March 18, 1990, in Marshalltown to Scott and Melissa VanDeWalle. Travis graduated from Green Mountain Garwin in 2008. After graduation, he attended Kirkwood Community College. Travis had worked for Pioneer in Toledo. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, boating or snowmobiling. Travis is survived by his parents, Scott and Melissa; brothers, Derek VanDeWalle and Jared VanDeWalle of Marshalltown; grandparents, George and Dolores VanDeWalle of Fort Myers, Florida and Dale and Diane Franksain of Marshalltown as well as extended family and friends.
