Trent Brooks

Trent R. Brooks, 61, of Marshalltown, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will take place on Friday, December 22 at 1:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Trent Richard Brooks was born October 4, 1962 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Merrill C. “Dick” and Hildagarde "Hildi" (Spielbauer) Brooks. He attended Marshalltown High School with the class of 1981. Trent dedicated over 20 years at Lennox Industries. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, and Suzuki motorcycles. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Travis (Kim) Brooks and grandchildren, Kayleigh and Landon, of Monroe, IA; his sister, Tanya Hillygus of Marshalltown; niece Staci (Justin) Scavo and their daughter, Elena of West Des Moines, IA; nephew Hunter Hillygus of Waukee, IA and his close friends.

Trent is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Hildi Brooks; his brother, Todd Brooks, and his brother-in-law, Timothy Hillygus.
