Twyla Kann, 85, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Twyla Arlene Adkins was born on June 25, 1929, in Quarry, Iowa. She was the daughter of Russell and Lucille (Mills) Adkins. Twyla attended school in the LeGrand Community School District graduating with the class of 1948. Twyla was united in marriage to Sylvan Don Hass and they later divorced. She later was united in marriage to Daryl Kann and they resided in Marshalltown and Garwin, and most recently resided in the Iowa Veterans Home. Twyla was a nurses aide and a cook at Grandview Heights Nursing, and a Home Health Aide. She was a member of the Moose and enjoyed the Senior Citizens Center. Twyla enjoyed dancing with her husband and loved to be with her children, her childrens friends, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, Chicago Bulls Basketball, and the Chicago Cubs Baseball on TV. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Don (Janet) Hass of Denver , Colorado, Glenda (Darrell) Norman of Eldora, David (Patty) Hass of Antioch, California, Danny (Marsha) Hass of Des Moines, Dennis (Mary) Hass of Marshalltown, and Richard (Gail) Hass of Garwin, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; siblings: Carolyn (Robert) Glore, of Santa Barbara, California, Ila Faye Bridges of Quinton, Texas, Beverly (Don) Ruopp of Marshalltown, and Garry (Linda) Adkins of Marshalltown; sister- in- law, Bonnie Adkins; step-children: Darla Peoples, Sheila (Gary) Biggs, and Vivian (Ed) Smithburg. In death, Twyla rejoins her parents, Russell and Lucille; and siblings: Homer, Shirley, Delmar, and Darrell, and Robert who passed in infancy.
