Valerie Ann Bita Davey, 52, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, December 10, 2011. Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Born on December 27, 1958, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Francis and Carmen (Calderin) Davey. She graduated from the Plant High School in Tampa, Florida and later attended community college. Since 2005, she has made her home in Marshalltown. Valerie enjoyed computers, movies, music, her dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are Wendy Hernandez, her life partner and step-children: Alicia Hernandez (Jeremy) and Allen Hernandez (Amy) all of Marshalltown; step-grandchildren- Alexandria, Alayna, Aleigha, Aundraya and Austin, her sister Melba (Dale) Stewart of South Lake, TX and two nephews and a niece: Dale Ross, Bryan Stewart and Theresa (Paul) Selby, her great-niece, Kaitlyn Selby. In death, she has rejoined her parents.
