Vicki Michel

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vicki Jill Michel, age 63, of Marshalltown, Iowa, who peacefully passed away on July 4, 2026. Vicki was reunited in Heaven with those she dearly missed.

Vicki Jill Michel was born February 17, 1963 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Larry Michel. Vicki found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures in life. She loved being outdoors, planting flowers, tending to her garden, feeding the squirrels and spending peaceful afternoons sitting on her porch soaking up the sunshine and enjoying all the wildlife around her. Her kind heart, warm smile and love for nature brought comfort and happiness to everyone who knew her. Vicki was also known in her neighborhood as the self-designated neighborhood watch.

She leaves behind her sisters, Sandy Rhodes and Brenda Fails, her brother Jim Michels; her children, Steven Klosterman, Angie Diamond, Joseph Moore, Trisha Cordes and Barbara Michel; her 10 beloved grandchildren, Serenity, Hayden, Theilan, Gunner, Damian, Tinsley, Joshua, Zyliea, Antonio and Miah.

Vicki is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rick; her brother Kalvin and nephew Cody.

Vicki’s love, strength and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us in person, the memories she created, the love she shared and the beauty she cultivated the world will never fade.
