Victoria "Vicky" Wilson

Victoria “Vicky” Wilson, 71, of Albion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. At this time cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at the Community Center in Liscomb, Iowa (114 Main Street) at 2 p.m. Saturday March 7th under the direction of her family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Vicky and her family. Victoria Rose Gall was born January 5, 1949 to parents Otto and Helen (Nelson) Gall in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was one of five children born to the couple. She attended school in the town she lived. Later in life, Vicky went on to attend college at Marshalltown Community College and received her AA degree. Victoria was united to her husband James Conaway. As a result of this union Vicky and James welcomed three children into their lives Jimmy, Jefferey, and Ivan. They eventually divorced and maintained friendship with one another. In 2004, Vicky was united in marriage to her second husband Donald “Donnie” Wilson at the United Methodist Church in Albion. The two called Albion their home and remained together until Donnie’s passing. She worked in Marshalltown at Swift as a scale house operator until her retirement in 2015. Even after retirement Vicky was hired as an independent contractor to assist with further scale house needs. Vicky held a wide array of hobbies, but her most important activity was caring for her family. Vicky also enjoyed spending time with the “girls”, Teresa, Barb, Linn, and Pat. She was active as a cub scout leader with her son, enjoyed a variety of crafts, greeting cards, crocheting, listening to music, playing games, going fishing, watching her favorite television show; Oak Island, and had a sweet tooth for any sort of candy. She always held a special place in her heart for her beloved cats. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Jefferey (AJ) Conaway and Ivan (Stefanie) Conaway; her grandchildren Andrew, Joseph, and Amy Stineman, Mckayla, Dakota, Zachary, Jefferey Jr., Baby Ivan, and AndeeJean Conaway, Jordin Neuhring, and Harley Wood; her great-grandchildren Kaycen Orf, Cameryn Neuhring, Otto Stineman, and Devin Wood; her siblings Benjamin “Jim” (Peggy) Gall, Glen Gall, Gene (Phyllis) Gall, and her twin sister Katherine “Kathy” Brindle; nieces and nephews Craig and Andrew Brindle, Cindra Cather, Brian Gall, Marian Holmes, Mark Gall, Greg Gall; and her cousin Pam (Dan) Petrik. She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie; her son Jimmy Lee Conaway; her aunt Jean Cook; and her friends Linn Chesick and Patricia Westphal.
