Virginia Worsfold, 91, of Marshalltown, died Monday, July 18, at the Colonial Manor in Zearing while in their care and her loving family. Iowa Hospice cared for her on this last journey. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Timber Creek Cemetery south of Marshalltown. Born Virginia Lee Morlan on June 24, 1920, in Pollock, MO, she was the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Altheiser) Morlan. She received her education in Missouri. Virginia was a wonderful mother who will be fondly remembered for her love of family, family gatherings, her hospitality and making sure everyone was fed. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gordon (Jeanette) Snyder of LeGrand, Shirley (the late James) Moore of Lexington, MO, Jamie (Mike) Reed of Marshalltown, Chuck Worsfold of Chanhassen, MN, Rebecca Becky (Terry William) Smith of Marshalltown and Wendell Worsfold of Marshalltown; her step-children- Sharon (John) Steffa of Marshalltown, Charlene (the late Jerry) Brown of State Center, Judy (Henry) Macke of Columbus, Ohio, and Dietta (Jim) Little of Marshalltown, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings- Margaret Smith of Lemmon, MO, Fred (Kay) Morlan of Kirksville, MO, Olive and Don (Nita) Morlan of Columbus, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In death, Virginia rejoined her parents, daughter Patsy Conrad, step-son James Dale Worsfold, sons-in-law Jerry Brown and James Moore, sisters Ruby Hartke, Geraldine Higginson, Alveta MacPherson, brothers James and Raymond Morlan and Charles Wayne Morlan in infancy, her former husbands: Gordon E. Snyder, Garrett Betts and James Charles Worsfold and a step-grandson James Worsfold.
