Walter Keith Gould

W. Keith Gould, 82, of Marshalltown, died April 25th, in Las Vegas on his birthday with his wife and two children by his side. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3rd, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Berry of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon officiating. Ph 641-844-1234. Born on April 25th, 1926, at home in Liscomb, Iowa, he was the son and one of seven children born to Delbert and Celia (Miller) Gould. He attended school in Liscomb, Albion and Marshalltown. On August 9th, 1945, in Rockford, IL, he was united in marriage to Shirley Petrie. They made their home in Marshalltown where he was employed at Fisher Controls for 43 years. Keith enjoyed golfing, sports especially the Cubs playing billiards (was city champion), wintering in Las Vegas for 22 years, traveling and his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are Shirley, his loving wife of 61 years, two children: Patricia Duff of Las Vegas, Denny (Linda) Gould of Kellogg, his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren: CWO3 Rob Buerkens (Denise), US Marines Corps, Jacksonville, NC, and their children Lauran, Robbie, Tyler and Emma; Benjamin (Shannon) Duff of Marshalltown and their children Morgan and Taylor, Chad (Heather) Gould and their children Gabe and Carli of LeGrand, Kimberly Boldt and her son Andrew of Traer and Jessica Gould of North Liberty, his brother W. Dib (Dorothy) Gould of Marshalltown and sister Lois Paxton of Union, his dear companions Sam (the dog) and Tabby (the cat) as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death he has rejoined his parents and brothers: Berkley, Basil, Raymond and Frank.
