Wanda Huckfeldt, 87, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away at Villa Del Sol Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 surrounded by her family.Honoring Wanda wishes there will be Memorial gathering on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. She attended school in a one room school house in the area of her birth. On May 8, 1955 she was married to William Huckfeldt at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. They had lived in Gladbrook and moved to Laurel in the old Hotel. Wanda had worked at Fisher a few years and then had driven a school bus for special needs children and in her spare time she made womens hand bags. She enjoyed crocheting, liked to cook and her all-time favorite thing to do was to watch wrestling on television.Left to cherish her memory are her children; Larry Huckfeldt of Virginia, Steven E. Moody and Sally Huckfeldt both of Marshalltown and Gary Huckfeldt of Minnesota , and 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way and 1 great-great-grandbaby and many nieces and nephews.In death Wanda rejoins her husband; William, her siblings; Merle, Fay, Floe, Mamie, Earl and twins at birth and a grandson; Loren Huckfeldt
