Wanda Mcginty

Wanda Ann McGinty, 94, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare in Marshalltown.

Services for Wanda will take place on Saturday, January 7 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 1:00 P.M. Wanda was born on May 19, 1928 in Marshall County, Iowa to Dale Lundstrum and Mary Halverson. After Dale’s passing, she was raised by her stepfather, Harold Biesnecker. Wanda was united in marriage to Carl Edward McGinty and they were blessed with two children. She worked several jobs over the years waitressing, including at Stone Restaurant and OJ’s Diner. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, garage sales, drinking coffee and eating donuts.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jack (Carol) McGinty and Carla Davis; her sister, Sally Biesnecker; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In eternal life, she is reunited with her husband, Carl, her parents, sister Dalene Fremmel, sister-in-law Pauline McGinty and brother-in-law Chuck McGinty.
