Warren Doc Lawson

Warren Doc Lawson, 59, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Grandview Heights, under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home. Funeral services for Doc will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, also at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. On August 23, 1973, Doc was united in marriage to Wanda Shook in Marshalltown. Doc had been employed as a mechanic as well as an electrician. Doc was a very talented musician. He played the keyboard for the band, Accidental Brothers. Doc also liked to cook, play chess, walk his dogs, and even enjoyed shopping. Doc even earned a gold plaque from the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, for his work with the legendary '70s rock band, Sky Dancer. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Crystal (Adan Manzo) Castillo and Stephanie Clark; grandchildren: Trino, Marcella,. and Carlye Castillo.
