Wayne Howard Tuttle (90) of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away in the care of Iowa River Hospice, on February 2nd, 2016. A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2016, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 6th, 2016, at the Bangor Liberty Friends Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Iowa River Hospice of Marshalltown, Iowa. On September 19th, 1925, Wayne Howard Tuttle was born to Donald and Martha (Bohnsack) Tuttle in the Washington Township in Marshall County. He was educated in the area, graduating from the LaMoille High School, with the class of1944. Following his high school education, Wayne enlisted in the United States Merchant Marines from 1944 until 1946. On March 28th, 1947, Wayne and Fern Jensen were united in marriage in LaMoille, Iowa. Wayne was a farmer, working 10 miles northwest of Marshalltown, Iowa, for 42 years. He also was employed with McRill-Stowell in Albion, Iowa, as an insurance adjuster from 1975 until 1990. He was a member of the Bangor Liberty Friends Church and the Albion Lions Club. Wayne was and avid reader. He loved old tractors, volunteering at the Marshalltown Community Hospital, also for the Red Cross and at Bangor Liberty. Left to cherish his memory are his children; Elaine (Michael) Farnsworth of Westminster, Colorado, Mark Tuttle of St. Croix, USVI, Scott (Cindy) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sue (Joe) Osier of Quincy Illinois, Sarah (Karl) Spuhl of OFallon, Missouri, grandchildren; Timothy (Roxane) Farnsworth, Andrea (Shawn) Larson, Rachael (Mike) Nickless, Geoff (Amy) Osier, Kyle (Lisa) Osier, Natalie Tuttle, Nick Tuttle, Zach Spuhl, Emma Spuhl, Daniel Spuhl, great-grandchildren; Austin Nickles, Ashtin Nickless, Brayden Nickless, Presley Larson, Memphis Larson, Jack Osier, Ryan Osier, Cade Farnsworth, sibling; Becky Hoing, special friend; Marlys Garbe. In death, Wayne rejoins his wife; Fern Tuttle, brothers Lyle Tuttle and Lee Tuttle.
