Wayne Yeager

Wayne Yeager, 70, lifelong resident of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Iowa Veterans Home.

Per the wishes of Wayne and his family, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life for Wayne will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in State Center. Visitation will begin one hour prior; starting at 10:00 a.m. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Wayne. Born September 4, 1953, Wayne was the son of Roger and Vivian (Fischer) Yeager. He graduated from Marshalltown High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army. Wayne had a passion for animals and enjoyed breeding bulldogs and beta fish. He also enjoyed spending his free time as a ham radio operator.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jonathan Yeager, Sara McAtee and Elizabeth Yeager; grandchildren: Bradley Yeager, Emily McAtee and Collin McAtee and his sister, Ruth Yeager.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Vivian Yeager.
