Phone 641-844-1234.Wilbur Eugene Halterman was born on May 6, 1947 in Grinnell, Iowa to Martin and Lily (Garr) Halterman he was educated in the Newton area. Wilbur served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1968 to1970. He married Carol Beck, they later divorced. He had resided in Temple, Texas and then the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown for the past Year. Wilbur had been an auto technician during his working years. Left to cherish Wilburs memory are his children; Jennifer Barns and Shannon Halterman both of Texas, his siblings; Donna Morton, Leonard Halterman and Wilma Lafond all of Newton.Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lily, his sisters; Barb Lemke and Marilyn Halterman.
