William L. Bill Streets III, 47, of Union, died Monday, September 7, 2009, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Faith Open Bible Church, 1402 East Anson Street, Marshalltown. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Faith Open Bible Church. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Bill and his family. Ph 641-844-1234. William Leslie Streets III was born on October 6, 1961, in Keosauqua, Iowa. He was the son of William Streets II and Darlene Baumert. He graduated from Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School in 1980. Bill served our country honorably in the United States Navy. He also attended truck driving school. On February 10, 1993, Bill married Nancy Clem in Cincinnati, Ohio. The couple lived in Cincinnati, Marshalltown for 10 years, and Union for the last 4 years. Bill was a volunteer firefighter in Gladbrook and worked for Gethmann Construction before attending truck driving school. He was a member of the American Legion and Faith Open Bible Church. He enjoyed fishing and his grandchildren. Bill will be missed by his wife, Nancy, of Union; his stepdaughters, Tammy Anderson of Belle Plaine, Iowa, and Kellie Eckert of Union; his grandchildren, Thomas Eckert, Christopher Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Anisha Johnson, and Samantha Johnson; his parents, William and Darlene Streets of Gladbrook; and his brothers, David Joe Streets of Marshalltown and Elvin Vincent Streets of Evansville, IN. In death, Bill has rejoined his grandparents.
