Wilma Gray, 82, of Gladbrook, died Sunday morning, October 21st, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Graveside funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 24th, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until service time. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow interment rites at the hospitality room of the funeral home. Born Wilma Dressen on January 28th, 1925, in Decatur, Illinois, she was the daughter of William and Ora Marie (Smith) Dressen. She graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1944.On August 21st, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Robert Gray. They made their home in Keokuk, Montour for a short time and Marshalltown until his death in September of 1991. She moved to Gladbrook to be near her family and then moved to the Westbrook Acres five years ago. She enjoyed her family, camping with her husband, cooking, and quilting. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Linda (Larry) Kunc of Gladbrook and Marilyn (Donald) Mooney of Gladbrook, three granddaughters and one grandson: Michelle (Brad) Wilson of Melbourne, Amy (Dan) Mooney-Geels of Gladbrook, Lori Mason of Marshalltown, Larry (Tracy) Eastman, Jr. of Ames, five great-grandchildren: Brittany, Jami, Abbie, Joseph and Tyler and her only brother, William Dressen in Utah.In death she has rejoined her husband Robert, son Robert, Jr., her parents and sisters, Mary West and Betty Carkhuff.
