Winifred Ealy

Winifred Joan Ealy, 64, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at MMSC. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 2nd at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. She was the daughter of Winifrod and Alice (Swedeburg) McBride. She attended school in the area of her birth. Joan lived in the Marshalltown area for most of her life. Joan worked as a nurses aide at Marshalltown and Tama area nursing homes. She also was a day care provider and owned Joans Crafts. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and she lived for her grandkids. Joan will be missed by her children Lloyd O. Barker Jr. of Gilman, Wendy Watson of Evansville, IN, Tonya Tuttle of Legrand, Shawn (Sherry) Menter of Marshalltown, and Angie Menter of Marshalltown; her 13 grandchildren; her great-grandchild who is on the way; her siblings Robert, Leon, Betty, Irene, Eugene, Wilford, Ronnie, and Richard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In death, she has rejoined her parents, her brother Chester, her sister Dorothy, her grandchildren Joseph Raymond Tuttle, Mindey Mae Barker, and Brad Owen Barker, and her husband Lloyd O. Barker Sr.
