Winifred L. (Rempp, Hayes) Price

It is with deep love and sadness, that we inform you of the passing of Winifred Louise (Rempp, Hayes) Price, on December 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, January, 2, 2014, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Garden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center or Crossroads Hospice both of Kansas City, Missouri. Winnie was born the third child to Lionel and Allie (Gorsuch) Rempp on July 8, 1926. Her early years were spent in central Iowa. On March 13, 1946 she married Harold (Bud) Hayes. Through this loving union four children were born. On September 11, 1982 Winnie married Ernest Price. They shared 31 years together. Winnie is preceded in death by her mother; father; husband, Bud; brother, Robert; sister, Evelyn; and best friend Lois. Winnie is survived by husband, Ernest; her son, Richard (Cherie) Hayes; her daughters, Linda Underhill, Sherri (David) McGee, and Sandy Price; stepchildren, Leigh Ann Valverde and Jeff (Kathy) Price. Winnie leaves 4 grandchildren, Kristin Newell, Nerissa (Ron) Stawicki, Kerri Underhill, and Tony (Michelle) Price; 2 step grandsons, Matthew (Rachel) and Mitchell Terrill; Winnie was blessed with 11 great grandchildren.
