Wrightabelle Grossman

Wrightabelle Grossman, 85, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on January 7, 2016 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center. Visitation will be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11th at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Wrightabelle Richeson was born to George and Eva (Burch) Richeson on the family farm in Rhodes, Iowa, on December 18, 1930. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Rhodes High School with the Class of 1949. Following graduation, Wrightabelle relocated to Marshalltown and became an employee of Marshalltown Instruments. On June 1, 1952 Wrightabelle and Lloyd Grossman were united in marriage at the First United Church of Christ in Marshalltown, Iowa. Together the family made their home in town to raise their family. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge, the First United Church of Christ and a Girl Scout troop leader. Wrightabelle loved cooking and watching The Young & the Restless and Days of Our Lives. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark (Vicky) Grossman and Eric Grossman; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. In death she rejoins her parents, George and Eva Richeson; five brothers; husband, Lloyd Grossman; daughter, Deborah; and grandson, Ryan.
