Pet Obituaries in Marshalltown, State Center and Surrounding Areas in Iowa

The loss of a pet can be the most emotional and devastating event in a person’s life. Pets love us unconditionally and are there for us at any hour.

Grief from this loss can be different from that of a human. With the loss of a human family member or friend, it could be after a long illness that there is comfort knowing the person is not suffering. It could also be we may have had indifferences with the person that passed away, and therefore mourn in a manner that is unique. Grief can also present itself in losses such as job loss, divorce, leaving a comfort zone like a home, graduation and leaving friends and changes in lifestyle.

Our funeral home is very pet friendly and encourages some different options. Viewing of the person by a pet is very well-received. Pets don’t understand why someone left but never came home. The chance to see their person can offer some closure to them.

The Rainbow Bridge is an area to the east side of the funeral home and is available at any hour of any day. A serene area where you can write the pets name on the bridge and leave pictures or notes if desired. Or, simply a place to sit and remember.

We also offer in this website a place to post your pet’s obituary. What society is doing is minimizing grief with pet loss. It is very real and talking about and paying tribute to our pets does help our hearts. To post a pet’s obituary, simply email their information to mffh@marshallnet.com and a picture. There is no charge for posting or the Rainbow Bridge.
